Weeks 9-10 Recap

Peytons Forehead Shiner

Peyton picked up an impressive win in Week 9, besting the G-MEN in a slugfest. He has maintained a 1-1 record for the 3rd consecutive split. With the 6th and final Split being 3 games long, he’s looking to play spoiler against 2 playoff contenders. However, after sending his best player to one of them, his struggling season is getting even worse. He’ll be lucky to finish the season out with 5 wins.

Sledge Hammer

Thanos maintains his winning ways, extending his streak to 5. He’s remained under the radar due to his position in the standings. Now? He’s made it aware that he is still a considerable threat. Split 6 will give him the opportunity to instill fear in his potential playoff opponents.

Pull The Lever, Gronk!

Her demise will sadly continue, as the Scarlet Witch exits split 5 with 2 more losses, extending her losing streak to 8. Breaking the streak in our 3-week Split 6 to close out the year is her only goal. To do it, she’ll need to beat the defending champion or 2 playoff contenders.

Odell’s Rusty Hip

May god have mercy on our souls, because Valkyrie will not. An undefeated 5th split gives her a 7th consecutive win. It’s become clear she took her 2 early-season losses personally, as she’s’ decimated every challenger in her path, including the other 3 contenders. Split 6 consists of two managers currently outside of the playoffs and a strong playoff contender who she’s beaten previously. It’s difficult to imagine she is defeated by any of them. She’ll look to continue dominating her way to a #1 seed.

Bradshank Redemption

Consecutive losses in Split 5 have ensured she will not be in the postseason. Her roster is finally starting to show the promise that we’d hoped it would. Sadly for her, it is just too late. Facing playoff contenders in 2 of her 3 games in the final split, it may be tough for wins to materialize despite her roster improving its play.

Team G-Men

After dropping consecutive games and losing 3 out of his last 4, the G-MEN right the ship to a much needed win over the Scarlet Witch. The second seed is effectively locked down in his favor, but taking back the 1st place spot he called home for the first 3 Splits may be too tall an order. Regardless, he’ll need to finish strong if he wants to hold on to the #2 seed and enter the postseason with confidence. He will have to test his might against a playoff contender and two managers sitting just outside of such a spot.

Is This Soccer?

Much to the surprise of the commissioner, Is This Soccer could not follow up his greatest SFI outing ever with success, dropping both games in Split 5. With a roster loaded with immense talent, we were hoping to see him truly break out into a championship favorite to close out the season. Now, he’s struggling to separate himself from the other 2 teams he recently shared a record with. His fortune may turn in Split 6, as he faces 3 teams far outside the playoff picture.

Suh-Tang Clan

Vision is showing significant promise and improvement despite trading away CMC, as he picks up 2 wins in Split 5. He’d need quite a lot for this to turn into playoff contention, but it’s encouraging to see his team succeed like this. His remaining schedule is rather difficult, but he still has a path to be an over .500 manager in his rookie season.
