THE CONSTITUTION

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all managers are created equal, that they are endowed by their Commissioner with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Frustration, Second-Guessing, and the Pursuit of a Championship. The rights, rules, and governance of this league are hereby listed below, and signed by the five original members of this league at the time of this drafting.  Changes to these rules MUST either be via a majority approval which includes the commissioner OR unanimous approval with all members except the commissioner. 

  1. Roster & Scoring

1.1 The league will follow a Point Per Reception scoring format.

1.2 Roster sizes may vary from year to year, with majority approval needed to adjust them. However, the base roster size will always consist of no less than 1 QB, 2 WR’s, 2 RB’s, 1 TE, 2 Flex, 1 D/ST, and 1 K.

1.3 The right to bear 4 IR spots must NOT be infringed.

1.4 Quarterbacks will earn 0.04 points per passing yard. D/ST will start each matchup with 10 points.

2. Draft Rules

2.1 The winner of the consolation bracket, 5th place, will receive the #1 overall pick in the draft the following season. The draft order will follow in reverse order of the final standings from the previous season.

2.2 A modified linear draft will be used. Following the conclusion of a round, the draft order will cycle back to the owner with the first pick in that round. Though the order is linear, one manager in each round will receive an additional, consecutive draft pick. The order of this will be linear, beginning with the last manager to pick in the 1st Round.

2.3 Draft pick trading is allowed during the draft. Players and future picks of the current draft may be traded between managers at any point in the offseason up until the conclusion of the draft. Trading picks in a future draft during this time is NOT permitted.

2.4 Each draft from this signing forward is to be held in person. If a manager is unable to attend

3. Trading

3.1 Trades of players and draft picks are permitted between managers.

3.2 Trading of future draft pick’s will only be permitted once the season has begun.

3.3 Managers do NOT need Commissioner approval for ANY trades.

3.4 Trade vetoing is utilized, with majority approval needed to successfully veto a proposed trade.

3.5 Trades will have a processing period of 48 hours. However, majority approval for a Commissioner override can be used if a player involved in the trade will be playing before the processing period is over.

3.6 The deadline for in-season trading will be 12:00PM EST the Wednesday of Week 11. Any pending trades active during this time will still be processed.

 Playoff Format & Seeding

4.1 Split Divisions have been utilized in previous season. However, their usage may vary. If divisions are to be used, mangers will be selected out of a hat on draft day.

4.2 If divisions are not being used in a given season, all managers will be in a single division.

4.3 Seeding will be decided by the best overall record or the most total points. This will be determined prior to the start of the season.

4.4 The playoff bracket will be determined by the highest seed playing the lowest seed.

4.5 The playoffs will consist of two rounds with four total teams earning postseason bids. An additional round and two teams will be added if the league ever exceeds 10 managers, with the top 2 seeds receiving bye-week’s. The additional round will only be a single week.

4.6 The semi-finals and finals will consist of two weeks each. The winning manager is determined by the most points at the end of this two week period.

4.7 The winner of the final round will be crowned the Seel Family Invitational Champion, receiving a trophy that will be presented by the previous league champion on the Super Bowl.

4.8 There will be two bowl games each season. One bowl game between the managers that lost the first round and the other between the two consolation bracket finalists. Each winner will a receive a trophy and a gift card to the local business supporting this bowl games for the current season. Bowl game names may vary by year.

5. Competitive Balance Amendment

5.1 Each manager must field a complete team every week of the season. If they have not fielded a complete roster by Sunday at 1PM, the Commissioner will set the lineup for that manager, putting the highest projected player in their lineup. If the manager does not have an available player to start, the Commissioner can, but will not always add a player from waivers. This move can be made at their discretion. This Amendment does NOT apply to the postseason
