Week 6 Results & Week 7 Preview

With the season nearly halfway over, all 7 of this year’s participants seem to have a reasonable chance at the postseason. With a swath of bye-week’s ensuing, who will be left standing after Week 7?

Odell’s Rusty Hip

week 6 points: 144.18| 5TH Place - 4-2, 1161.16 total pts

This is likely the worst game we’ll see from the Rusty Hip this season. However, without CMC, Kittle, Barkley, and now possibly Toney, Dak, and Odell? What else can we expect? Her roster is reeling at the moment. Right now it’s all about damage control. If she can get her starters back in the coming weeks and still be in the conversation; she’ll have all the tools necessary to get back to the big dance.

PEYTON’S FOREHEAD SHINER

week 6 points: 270.8| 3RD Place - 6-0, 1259.26 total Pts

A-B-Cee-Dee-Lamb! In a week without Kamara and Nick Chubb, he manages to have his best game of the season. Aside from a dud or 2, he managed to churn out consistent outings from his entire roster. While his RB3 is currently out, he has 2 starters returning this week. While he may not encroach on 300 like last week, Peyton is primed for another exceptional performance.

Is This Soccer?

week 6 points: 207.48| 7TH Place - 2-4, 1160.94 total Pts

The mad lad has an acceptable outing this week. However, its not enough to make any sort of progress toward the playoff conversation. He needs more performances like his previous 2 weeks to make a meaningful gain on the lead. Otherwise, he may be stuck in 6-7th place limbo. The bright side? His competitors have lots of players on bye or injured, whereas he has none and has remained the healthiest team in the SFL. If there was ever a time to claw his way back; it’s Week 7. Expect a solid outing from Is This Soccer.

Sledge Hammer

week 6 points: 191.12| 1st Place - 4-2, 1350.3 total Pts

While it would be incorrect to call this a bad week, it’s a significant downgrade compared to his recent success. Regardless, he was still able to make it a decent week. Next week may prove to be a make-or-break for his team, with 6 starters on bye week. If he can manage to pull together a respectable performance, he’s in the clear. If he doesn’t? He’s almost certain to fall right back into that hole he dug himself out of. Temper your expectations for the Hammer this week, as his questionable depth may prove detrimental to his lead.

Pull the Lever, Gronk!

week 6 points: 203.22| 2nd Place - 4-2, 1279.92 total Pts

A solid 200+ performance keeps Gronk at her current pace, proving to be the most consistent team of the bunch. She has some significant contributors on bye this week. This, coupled with injuries on her bench may put her in a bit of a bind in Week 7. Anything in the 180+ range should be considered a success.

Bradshank Redemption

week 6 points: 201.1| 6th Place - 2-4, 1162.58 total Pts

Bradshank has found the other half of her name this week, finally cracking that elusive 200+ game she needed. Don’t get your confetti just yet, as she has a slew of starters and depth pieces out this week. Coupled with her QB1 being done for at least a month, it will be hard to match another week like this. If she can stay afloat in Week 7, her rise will surely continue.

Team G-Men

week 6 points: 248.34| 4th Place - 3-3, 1195.38 total Pts

With one of the best performances thus far, the G-Men have stormed back into the playoff conversation. He’s made a ton of headway and cut his lead with 1st place by over 1/4th. What did it cost? Everything. His RB has been sent to IR, his RB3 is injured, as well as several others being listed as questionable. Lenny Fournette will have to do big things if he’s to continue his ascension.
