PHASE 6 COMPLETE: THE RETURN OF THE KING
Peyton’s Forehead Shiner wins the triple crown (most wins, points, championship) and secures
his 2nd SFI Championship in a blowout.
Regular Season MVP: Josh Allen
SFI Postseason MVP: CeeDee Lamb - 32 Rec, 469 YDs, 4TDs, 103.1 Fantasy Points
It’s not about how you start, it’s how you finish. No manager exemplifies this more as Peyton’s Forehead Shiner has captured his 2nd SFI Championship after a 2-3 start. Putting up the highest single-week performance by any manager all season, Iron Man won his 10th consecutive game to secure the ultimate prize against Suh-Tang Clan.
Peyton was carried by the 2nd highest Championship week performance of the 21st century in Amari Cooper’s 51 point masterclass. With a 92 point lead heading into the last week, he kept his Mark 3 Repulsor Rays firing and continued to pour it on, winning by 90 points. Peyton finished the season with QB1, WR1, and TE1. These 3 players proved invaluable down the stretch. Averaging 182 PPG on the season, 1st among managers, he eclipsed the league average in 10/13 regular season contests. During his 10 game stretch (including playoffs), Peyton averaged just over 190 PPG. With glory unto his name once again, he will enter 2024 as the reigning, defending champion.
Team MVP: CeeDee Lamb
Best Value: Kyren Williams
Suh-Tang
In only his second season, Vision made the SFI Championship off of the back of the 49ers offense and some premium RB selections down the board. He dominated the first half of the season and defeated the reigning, defending champion in the finals. Despite having the Top 3 RBs, the rest of his roster could not hold up against the depth of his opponent.
He can take some solace in the fact that there was nothing to be done, though was still a tough way to go down. Phase 7 will provide him the opportunity to finish the job this time. Until then, rest easy, Vision.
Team MVP: Christian McCaffrey
Best Value: Raheem Mostert
Odell’s Rusty Hip
The former champion turned her ire toward another James after being defeated in Round 1. Similar to their postseason matchup in 2022, he was beaten mercilessly, ensuring Valkyrie still ends her season with a piece of hardware.
With her draft capital intact this time, she is more than capable of making another deep postseason run in 2024.
Team MVP: Tyreek Hill
Best Value: Puka Nacua
Is This Soccer
The hits keep coming and they won’t stop coming. Is This Soccer finishes 4th place for the 3rd time in his 4 seasons with us. It seemed he was poised to continue his solid run of points into the Medina Mojito Bowl. Unfortunately, he was bested once again, still unable to win a postseason game, consolation bracket or otherwise.
Considering the struggles of other managers we’ve seen since his joining, he should be incredibly proud of his ability to field a competitive squad each year and reach the playoffs this many times. In 2024, his primary objective will be building a team that can finally win a postseason game.
Team MVP: Lamar Jackson
Best Value: Brian Robinson Jr.
Sledge Hammer
Being out of the playoffs didn’t prevent Sledge Hammer from once again securing another accolade, winning the Cheez-It Bowl and the #1 Overall Selection in 2024.
With the first pick in his arsenal, Thanos will return to being a dangerous contender in Phase 7.
Team MVP: Jalen Hurts
Best Value: DJ Moore
Pull The Lever, Gronk!
The opportunity for a victory was there, but Gronk did not put in the same level of care to her starting roster in the 2nd round, leaving out key players that could have helped her win the bowl.
Instead, she’ll pick at #4 with a 6th place finish. Gronk moves on to 2024 seeking her 2nd playoff bid.
Team MVP: Dak Prescott
Best Value: David Njoku
Team GMEN
The GMEN seemed content with his tank job in the 2nd round, leaving inactive players in and finishing last place as a result. Truly the biggest fall from grace for the former champion.
With the 2nd overall pick next season, he’ll try and rebuild to his former contender status in 2024.
Team MVP: Breece Hall
Best Value: Keenan Allen
Bradshank Redemption
Bradshank stays competitive, beating the GMEN and obtaining the 3rd overall selection, avoiding last place.
She had several key pieces she’ll want returning to her roster next season. 2024 could be a big year for Bradshank.
Team MVP: Jordan Love
Best Value: Jaylen Warren
