It took Peyton quite some time to find his footing, finishing below .500 the first two seasons. Once the suit was built, his ascension began. He dominated his way to the 2020 Championship, falling just short; but he wouldn’t fail twice. A 6-0 start paved the way to a 10 win regular season, defeating Valkyrie in the semis and obliterating the Mad Titan once and for all. Unlike his adversary, there is no time to rest. As long as there are villains, the world will need an Iron Man.

Thanos, played by Sledge Hammer, is the league’s most fearsome foe. In fact, his dominance is the reason for the formation of the Avengers. In 2018, he captured the inaugural victory against his own brother in dominating fashion. When 2019 came around, he barely snuck into the postseason with a mere 7-6 record, riding the wave of momentum to a repeat. The 2020 Championship was a miraculous stroke of luck, getting into the playoffs as the #4 seed, barely scrounging together a win in the first round. His luck continued, fending off a comeback by Peyton’s Forehead Shiner and securing a third consecutive victory by 3 points. 2021 saw Thanos continue his reign of terror, securing the most points and the #1 seed. He bested in daughter in a close first round that saw her relinquish a significant lead. He would meet Iron Man once again in the finals. This time, revenge would belong to the man in red and gold, snapping Thanos into oblivion with a 100 point victory. His reign of terror ended, but his wrath will never be forgotten.

Despite being very new to football upon her arrival in 2018, the Rusty One proved to be quite a quick learner. Finishing just outside the playoffs in 2018, she obtained the best regular season record in the league in 2019 and took her newfound talent all the way to the championship in 2019, ultimately losing to Thanos. The revenge she sought in 2020 had to wait, as injuries kept her out of the postseason. In 2021, she put up another great season; yet unable to make it past the first round. With her sword drawn, Valkyrie will seek the championship that has remained just out of her grasp for all of this time.

Bradshank had a rough introduction to the league in 2018, finishing the year in 7th place. However, she’d quickly catch her balance and become a nightmare in the regular season, finishing 3rd in two consecutive years. Despite her success in 2019 and 2020, she is yet to achieve a postseason victory. In 2021, injuries deeply plagued chance a playoff run, resulting in her finishing the regular season in last place. However, she was able to claw her way to a 5th place finish on the year and won the Luekens Liquor Bowl. With the heart of a nittany lion, this Steeler is as tough as they come. Expect a formidable opponent in the Mighty Thor this season.

He’s the most seasoned football expert in the SFI, however, Captain America has not been able to achieve a playoff victory. Finishing last place in 2018, he bounced back and landed in the playoffs in 2019. After a heartbreaking defeat, he finished 4th on the year. In 2020, he was unable to replicate a postseason bid, falling to a 7th place finish. 2021did not start kind as he dealt with a plethora of injuries. A near storybook mid-season nearly sent him to the playoffs; finishing 5th in the regular season and 7th overall at season’s end. With his 4th crack at a top 2 pick, the man in blue has waited long enough to become a championship contender; and with Thanos defeated, the time is now.

Following her arrival in the 2020 season, the Scarlett Witch proved to be a quick study, finding a heap of early success in the first half of the season. While she was unable to secure a playoff spot, she did land the first overall pick in 2021 by finishing 5th. She used this to build a roster with incredible depth, resulting in a meteoric rise in the first half of 2021. This propelled the Scarlet Witch to her first playoff appearance, unfortunately being vanquished by Thanos in the first round. Despite a tough ending to a great season, she was able to win the 3rd place matchup and secure a bowl win. She has a lot of tenacity, and is likely to be a formidable manager and championship contender in future seasons.

After joining the league with little notice in 2020, our friend across the pond put together an impressive first season in the league, making the playoffs on his first go-around. He was defeated in agonizing back-and-forth fashion, finishing the season in 4th place. 2021 looked bright on paper, having a very talented roster, he was a championship contender in the first month of the season. Like many other managers before him, his once elite level lineup was bludgeoned with injuries. Trading away his cornerstone talent, he sought to stop the bleeding and forego his playoff chances in 2021, looking toward to greener pastures in 2022, securing a load of draft picks in the process. He’s a mysterious manager, but his draft acumen could land him a chance at an SFI Championship
